U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Chamberlain man charged with Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance was sentenced on July 5, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Christopher Allen Spider, age 32, was sentenced to 48 months custody and three years of supervised release. Spider was indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2010. He pled guilty in April 2011. The charge stems from the sale of methamphetamine on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation by Spider in 2010. Spider was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal. |
