McIntosh Man Arraigned on Larceny Charge

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a McIntosh, South Dakota, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Larceny.

Kyle Casey Roubideaux, age 20, was indicted by a federal grand jury on September 13, 2011. Roubideaux appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on September 21, 2011, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 5 years' imprisonment. The charge is merely an accusation, and Roubideaux is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The charge relates to an allegation of vehicle theft by Roubideaux.

The investigation is being conducted by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Assistant U.S. Attorney Britt M. Haxton is prosecuting the case. Roubideaux was released to a third party custodian pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set.
