Porcupine Man Sentenced for Assault

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Porcupine man charged with Assault by Striking, Beating or Wounding was sentenced on May 23, 2011, by US Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy. Angelo Perez, age 32, was sentenced to six months of probation and a $10 victim assessment.

Perez was indicted by a federal grand jury on December 21, 2010. In June 2010, near Porcupine, Perez assaulted another person by striking him. He pled guilty to the offense on May 23, 2011.

This case was investigated by the BIA and the OST-DPS. Assistant US Attorney Robert A. Mandel prosecuted the case.
