
Porcupine Man Indicted for Unlawfully Trafficking in Eagles and Migratory Birds

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Porcupine, South Dakota, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Unlawfully Trafficking in Eagles and Unlawfully Trafficking in Migratory Birds.
Stanley Littleboy, age 35, was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 8, 2011. He made an initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy on June 2, 2011. The maximum penalty upon conviction is two years in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both. Restitution may also be ordered.
The charges are merely accusations, and Littleboy is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The investigation is being conducted by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, and Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher is prosecuting the case. Littleboy was released on bond pending trial.
