605-357-2360
Attorney General Eric Holder has announced the appointment of South Dakota U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson to a two-year term on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee (AGAC). U.S. Attorney Johnson joins seven other U.S. Attorneys from across the country who were also named to fill positions on the AGAC. “I am humbled and honored that Attorney General Holder has asked me to serve on this important committee and look forward to my role in shaping law enforcement policy at the national level,” U.S. Attorney Johnson said. “The U.S. Attorney’s Offices are on the front lines of our nation’s federal prosecutions and civil litigation. I’m excited about working with my colleagues on the AGAC to do everything we can to assist them.” The AGAC, chaired by U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Paul Fishman, was created in 1973. The committee represents the voice of the 93 U.S. Attorneys across the country and provides advice and counsel to the Attorney General on policy, management, and operational issues impacting the Offices of the U.S. Attorneys. |
