Montana Man Sentenced for Failure to Pay Legal Child Support

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Billings, Montana, man charged with Failure to Pay Legal Child Support pled guilty to the charge and was sentenced on June 20, 2012, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Anthony W. Pease, age 39, was sentenced to 5 years' probation, $34,709.50 in restitution, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

The conviction stems from Pease failing to pay a past due child support obligation from April 15, 2009, to the present.

The investigation was conducted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services - Office of Inspector General. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Marie H. Ruettgers.
