McLaughlin Woman Sentenced for Stealing from Farmer’s Union Cenex

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a McLaughlin woman charged with Larceny was sentenced on July 16, 2012, by United States District Judge Charles B. Kornmann. Gorgianna Mae Hepperle, age 21, was sentenced to 3 years of probation, $1291.48 in restitution, and $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Hepperle was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 11, 2011. In March 2012, Gorgianna Hepperle pled guilty to stealing money from the Farmer=s Union Cooperative Cenex Store in McLaughlin, South Dakota, between May and June of 2010, when she was working as a store clerk.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Mikal Hanson prosecuted the case.
