
Valentine Man Charged with Assault

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Valentine, Nebraska, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. Marvin Seth Dubray, age 28, was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 18, 2012. He appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on August 3, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both. Restitution may also be ordered. The charge is merely an accusation, and Dubray is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The investigation is being conducted by Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services. Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher is prosecuting the case. Dubray was released on bond pending trial. |
