
Terra Haute, Indiana, Man Indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Terra Haute, Indiana, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Cocaine. Joshua Julian, age 24, was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 8, 2012. He appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Veronica Duffy on August 3, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 20 years in custody, a $1,000,000 fine, or both. The charge is merely an accusation, and Julian is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The investigation is being conducted by the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office, Division of Criminal Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller. Julian was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set. |
