
Wessington Springs Man Arraigned on Firearms Charge

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Wessington Springs man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. Jonathan Patrick Tyrrell, age 53, was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 10, 2012. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on October 31, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years' imprisonment, a $250,000 fine or both. The charge is merely an accusation, and Tyrrell is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
