
McLaughlin Woman Sentenced for Distribution of Marijuana

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a McLaughlin woman charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance by a federal grand jury was sentenced on November 7, 2012, by United States District Judge Charles B. Kornmann. Francine K. Jensen, age 52, was sentenced to 2 years of probation. Jensen was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. The conviction arose from a September 2011 incident in which Jensen sold marijuana. The drug quantity attributable to Jensen is less than 250 grams of marijuana. This case was investigated by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller prosecuted the case. |
