U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Cherry Creek man charged with Sexual Contact with a Minor was sentenced on December 17, 2012, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Marlem Dupris, age 59, was sentenced to 21 months of imprisonment, a $100 assessment, and a period of supervised release of 5 years. Dupris was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2012. On October 4, 2012, he pled guilty to Count I of the indictment that charged him with Sexual Contact with a Minor. The conviction stems from an incident that occurred between May 2005 and October 2007 in Cherry Creek, South Dakota, when Marlem Dupris engaged in an act of sexual contact with a minor. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mikal Hanson prosecuted the case. Dupris was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal. |
