Sturgis Man and Woman Indicted for Exporting Ammunition Without a License

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a man and woman have been indicted by a federal grand jury for exporting ammunition and components internationally without the proper licenses.

Marc Jamison, age 52, and Kathy Greenhaw, age 63, were indicted by a federal grand jury on March 20, 2012, for several counts of Unlawful Exportation of Arms and Ammunition. They appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy on March 23, 2012, and pleaded not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction of each count is 20 years' imprisonment and/or a $1,000,000 fine. The charges are merely accusations, and Jamison and Greenhaw are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The investigation is being conducted by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah B. Collins is prosecuting the case. Jamison and Greenhaw were released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set.
