
Colorado Man Sentenced for Drug Conspiracy

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Thornton, Colorado, man charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine was sentenced on August 13, 2012, by United States District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken. Oscar Ojeda, a/k/a Oscar Octavio Ojeda Villava, age 35, was sentenced to 60 months' imprisonment, 4 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. Ojeda was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana by a federal grand jury on March 8, 2011. The charges relate to Ojeda conspiring with others to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine in South Dakota between 2005 and 2010. Ojeda pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine on May 8, 2012. This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Ted L. McBride prosecuted the case. Ojeda was immediately turned over to the custody of the United States Marshal. |
