
Alcester Woman Sentenced for Health Care Fraud

US Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that an Alcester, South Dakota, woman charged with Health Care Fraud was sentenced on June 22, 2012, by US District Judge Lawrence L. Piersol. Tylese Rodriquez, a/k/a Tylese Marie Pearson, age 34, was sentenced to four years of probation with conditions, including home confinement for a period of six months and mandatory drug testing, and a $100 assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. Rodriquez was indicted for Obtaining Controlled Substances by Fraud and Health Care Fraud by a federal grand jury on February 7, 2012. She pled guilty to Health Care Fraud on March 30, 2012. The investigation was conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General. Assistant US Attorney Kevin Koliner prosecuted the case. |
