Joshua Young Sentenced To Eleven Years In Prison For Armed Robbery Of Soddy Daisy Restaurant And Being A Felon In Possession Of A Firearm
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Joshua Young, 27, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., was sentenced to 136 months in prison, five years supervised release, and $100 special assessment fee in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee at Chattanooga, by the Honorable Judge Collier, Chief U.S. District Judge. Young pleaded guilty on November 8, 2011, to a federal indictment charging him with armed robbery of the El Metate Mexican restaurant in Soddy Daisy and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Young is a validated member of the Skinheads white supremacists.
The indictment and subsequent conviction of Joshua Young was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Soddy Daisy Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve Neff represented the United States.
