MARK EVERETT DREBLOW, 50, of Spanaway, Washington, was sentenced today in Tacoma to ten years in prison and five years of supervised release for Possession of Child Pornography. U.S. District Judge Franklin D. Burgess sentenced DREBLOW to the mandatory minimum term of ten years because DREBLOW was convicted in 1986 of sexually molesting a 12-year-old boy. DREBLOW will be required to register as a sex offender when released from prison.

DREBLOW was arrested in June 2004 following a search at his Spanaway residence. Law enforcement officers with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) working group found more than 600 images of child pornography both on his computer and stored in his home. DREBLOW also subscribed to a web site where members posted images of child pornography. DREBLOW posted a dozen images of child pornography on the web site.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Pierce County Sheriff's department and the Internet Crimes Against Children working group (ICAC).

Assistant United States Attorney Susan B. Dohrmann prosecuted the case.
