DYLON THOMAS MARLER, 21, of Seattle, Washington, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 36 months in prison and three years of supervised release for Conspiracy to Distribute Ecstasy. MARLER was arrested on March 7, 2007, after he sold ecstasy to a confidential law enforcement source, and showed the source his marijuana grow at his home in the 9100 block of 35th Ave NE in Seattle. MARLER pleaded guilty on May 25, 2007, and was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman.

According to the plea agreement, MARLER distributed ecstasy and marijuana to a confidential source on multiple occasions. Additional defendants who conspired with MARLER in the ecstasy distribution have been charged. Jonathon Wood, 23, and also a resident of Seattle, was arrested as he delivered ecstasy to MARLER. Wood was sentenced last month by Judge Pechman to 35 months in prison. John Fou Saechao, 24, of SeaTac, will be sentenced on January 18, 2008 for Conspiracy to Distribute Ecstasy. Abusamad Harun, 23, of Renton, will be sentenced on February 8, 2008, for the same offense.

This was an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation, providing supplemental federal funding to the federal and state agencies involved. The cases were investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Doug Whalley and Matt Thomas.
