United States Attorney Jeffrey C. Sullivan will be joined for a press conference by Doug Carver, Special Agent in Charge of the Veteran’s Affairs Office of Inspector General and B.G. Burkett, Author of the book “Stolen Valor” which details numerous cases of fakes and frauds claiming to be decorated veterans.

U.S. Attorney Sullivan will describe “Operation Stolen Valor” resulting in more than half a dozen cases of northwest defendants pretending to be decorated veterans. Both Special Agent in Charge Carver and Author Burkett can provide further insights to this phenomenon.

The press conference is scheduled for noon on Friday, September 21 at the Federal Courthouse, 700 Stewart Street. The press conference will be in the 19th floor conference room.
