Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Jason A. Price, 33, Mauston, Wis., was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 180 months (15 years) in prison for possessing a firearm, specifically, a sawed-off shotgun.

Judge Conley imposed the 15-year mandatory minimum sentence in light of Price’s three prior violent felony convictions, specifically, a Florida robbery conviction and separate burglary convictions in Iowa County, Wis. and in Lafayette County, Wis.

United States Attorney Vaudreuil stated that the charges followed an investigation conducted by the Juneau County Sheriff's Department, New Lisbon Police Department, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy M. O'Shea.
