Hampshire County Resident Enters Plea to
Firearms Charge
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 44 year old Three Churches, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on December 21, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that ROBERT AGNEW entered a plea of guilty to one count charging him with possession of a shotgun which was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record, on May 25, 2009, in Mineral County, West Virginia. AGNEW, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the Keyser, West Virginia, Police Department; and, the Romney, West Virginia, Police Department.
