Kingwood Resident Sentenced Drug Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 46 year old Kingwood, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on December 18, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that TIMOTHY A. BOLYARD was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment to be followed by two years of supervised release. BOLYARD entered a plea of guilty on December 8, 2009, to one count of conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone beginning in June of 2003 to June 28, 2007, in Preston County, West Virginia, while employed as a Physician’s Assistant at Preston Family Health Center. BOLYARD, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal Institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the Department of Health and Human Services-Office of Inspector General and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
