Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Drug Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 48 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on November 24, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that VICKI LYNN DEARING was sentenced to 12 months and one day imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. DEARING entered a plea of guilty on May 11, 2009, to one count of an Indictment charging her with aiding and abetting the distribution of cocaine base on January 2, 2009, in Marion County.

DEARING is in federal custody.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
