Fairmont Resident Enters Plea of Guilty to Firearms Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A Fairmont, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on December 10, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that: JAMES RAMAGE, age 39, entered a plea of guilty to one count of being in possession of a firearm on October 4, 2008, in Marion County, West Virginia, after having previously been convicted of malicious wounding and prohibited from possessing firearms. RAMAGE, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of ten years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
