USP Hazelton Inmate Sentenced
to 5 Years on Assault Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 28 year old federal inmate was sentenced on July 21, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that TIMOTHY CALDWELL was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment to run consecutive to the 240 months term of imprisonment he is currently serving. CALDWELL entered a plea of guilty to assaulting an employee of the Bureau of Prisons on February 8, 2009.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Prisons – Special Investigative Services.
