French Creek Resident Sentenced for Possessing Equipment,
Chemical, and Material to Manufacture Methamphetamine
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 27 year old French Creek resident was sentenced on July 14, 2009, in United States District Court in Elkins by Judge Robert E. Maxwell.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ERIC WADE CHIDESTER was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. CHIDESTER entered a plea of guilty on June 16, 2008, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possessing equipment, chemical, and material to manufacture methamphetamine on February 6, 2008, in Upshur County, West Virginia.
CHIDESTER is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department, the West Virginia State Police, the Department of Natural Resources, and the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
