Ohio Resident Enters Plea of Guilty
on Firearms Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 41 year old Bellaire, Ohio, resident entered a plea of guilty on July 7, 2009, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ROBERT LEE MORRIS entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of stolen firearms from April 2 to April 3, 2009, in Wheeling, West Virginia. MORRIS, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
