Florida Resident Sentenced to 8+ Years
on Methamphetamine Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 29 year old Haines City, Florida, resident was sentenced on May 21, 2009, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that JASON LOMAX MCCALL was sentenced to 103 months imprisonment to be followed by five years supervised release. MCCALL entered a plea of guilty on December 9, 2005, to an Information charging him with aiding and abetting the distribution of more than 500 grams of methamphetamine on November 8, 2005, in Tucker County, West Virginia.

MCCALL stipulated that he and an accomplice Kenneth Hunter traveled from Florida to Tucker County, West Virginia, in early November 2005 as couriers for a Florida methamphetamine distribution organization, which organization had previously “fronted” more than one and a half kilograms but less than five kilograms of a substance containing methamphetamine to a person in Tucker County for distribution in the Northern District of West Virginia.

MCCALL is in federal custody.

Co-conspirator Kenneth Hunter was previously sentenced to 220 months imprisonment and co-conspirator Randy Rohrbaugh was previously sentenced to 210 months imprisonment.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
