Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Heroin Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 23 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on March 25, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that: JOSHUA RYAN SLOAN was sentenced to 63 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. SLOAN entered a plea of guilty on December 8 2008, to one count of distribution of heroin on September 22, 2008, in Marion County, West Virginia. SLOAN was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
