Elkins Resident Entered Guilty Plea
To Marijuana Charge
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 48 year old Elkins, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on October 28, 2009, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that DANIEL ALFRED CORICA entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with unlawfully possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute on November 28, 2006, in Randolph County. CORICA, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police.
