Bridgeport Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Federal Tax Violation
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A Bridgeport, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on October 23, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that WILLIAM ROLLYSON entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with willfully failing to file his income tax return for tax year 2003, when he earned approximately $102,523.00 and owed taxes of $28,707.22.
ROLLYSON, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of one year imprisonment and a fine of $100,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sherry L. Muncy. The case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division.
