Inwood Resident Pleads to Firearms Violation

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 26 year old Inwood, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on January 26, 2010, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that NATHAN PAUL FARLEY entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of firearms on June 15, 2009, in Inwood. FARLEY was previously convicted of grand larceny and 3rd degree arson in the Circuit Court of Berkeley County and was prohibited from possessing firearms.

FARLEY, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
