Boyerstown, Pennsylvania, Resident Enters Plea to
Transmitting Obscene Material to a Minor
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 30 year old Boyerstown, Pennsylvania, resident entered a plea of guilty on January 15, 2010, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that ANTHONY SHANE GREENLEAF entered a plea of guilty to one count of transmitting obscene material to a minor via a computer from Pennsylvania to the Northern District of West Virginia on March 1, 2009.
GREENLEAF, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was investigated by the West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which is headed-up and organized by the West Virginia State Police. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.
