Braxton County Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Theft of Firearms
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 38 year old Braxton County, West Virginia, resident entered a guilty plea today (January 13, 2009) in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that ALEX NICHOLS entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with stealing firearms from the Braxton Gun and Pawn Shop on October 13, 2009. NICHOLS, who is currently in custody, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the West Virginia State Police.
