Former Postal Service Employee Enters
Plea to Misappropriation of Postal Funds
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 29 year old Ft. Ashby, West Virginia, resident entered plea of guilty today (December 14, 2010, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that: CRYSTAL M. BEAVERS entered a plea of guilty to one count of knowingly converting to her own use from March 13, 2010, to March 29, 2010, money under her control as a postal employee in Lahmansville, Grant County, West Virginia. BEAVERS, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 1 year imprisonment and a fine of $100,000. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the United States Postal Service-Office of Inspector General.
