Braxton County Resident Enters Plea to Firearms Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 31 year old Braxton County, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty in United States District Court on December 21, 2010, in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: DANNY LEE MORGAN, JR. entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of firearms on February 25, 2009, in Braxton County, after having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year. MORGAN, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
