Berkeley County Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Manufacturing Marijuana

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 38 year old Berkeley County, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty today (February 3, 2010) in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Judge Robert E. Maxwell.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that BRADLEY WAYNE HART entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with manufacturing marijuana at his residence in Berkeley County on August 5, 2009.

HART, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
