Martinsburg Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Conspiracy Charge
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 39 year old Martinsburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on February 4, 2010, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that TRICIA LYNNE JONES entered a plea of guilty to conspiracy to use credit cards in an unauthorized manner. The conspiracy began in December 2007 and continued through April 2008. During that time, JONES allowed merchandise purchased with fraudulent credit card accounts to be shipped to her residence.
JONES, who is currently in custody, faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
