Wheeling Resident Sentenced for Violations
of Supervised Release

 

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A Wheeling, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on June 7, 2010, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that EDWARD ROBINSON was sentenced to 14 months imprisonment for violations of the conditions of his supervised release by committing another crime. ROBINSON was convicted in the Municipal Court of Wheeling of reckless driving, driving under suspension and obstructing on April 10, 2010.

ROBINSON was originally sentenced in the on October 19, 1998, to 168 months imprisonment to be followed by 5 years of supervised release for the distribution of “crack” cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.

ROBINSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

The violations of the Supervised Release were investigated by the United States Probation Office. The United States Attorney's Office was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.
