Shenandoah Junction Resident Entered
Guilty Plea to Drug Charge

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 42 year old Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on March 9, 2010, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that JOHN W. FERGUSON entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of cocaine base on December 11, 2008. FERGUSON, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Charles Town Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
