Triadelphia Resident Sentenced to 43 Months
on Cocaine Distribution Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A Triadelphia, West Virginia, resident was sentenced today (March 1, 2010), in United States District Court in Wheeling by Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

The United States Attorney’s Office announced that:

SHAWN HENDERSON, age 41, of Triadelphia, West Virginia, was sentenced to 43 months imprisonment to be followed by 6 years of supervised release. HENDERSON entered a plea of guilty on December 14, 2009, to one count of distribution of cocaine on May 7, 2009, within 1,000 feet of Bridge Street Middle School in Wheeling. As part of his plea, HENDERSON admitted to distributing as much as 100 grams of cocaine and has agreed to forfeit $639.00 seized from him which he admitted were drug proceeds. HENDERSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr. The case was investigated by the Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The Task Force consists of officers from the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
