Martinsburg Resident Entered
Guilty Plea to Tax Charge

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 43 year old Martinsburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on May 21, 2010, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that DOMENIC COLANDREA entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Information charging him with filing a false tax return for the tax year 2005 by under reporting the amount of his income. COLANDREA, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of three years imprisonment and a fine of $100,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation Division.
