Clarksburg Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 41 year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on October 29, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: WILLIAM CRAYTON was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. CRAYTON entered a plea of guilty on July 16, 2010, to one count of being a convicted felon in possession of five stolen firearms, in and affecting commerce, from January 9 to January 13, 2010, in Reynoldsville, West Virginia, and Lumberport, West Virginia. CRAYTON, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the West Virginia State Police.
