Pittsburgh Resident Sentenced to 5+ Years for
Distribution of “Crack” within 1,000 Feet of a School
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 32 year old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced on August 26, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that KEITH FUNCHES, also known as “WHEEFY,” also known as “LITTLE T,” was sentenced to 70 months imprisonment to be followed by six years supervised release. FUNCHES entered a plea of guilty on April 29, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” within 1,000 feet of St. Mary’s Elementary School/Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg on September 8, 2009.
FUNCHES is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Harrison/Lewis County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, the Bridgeport Police Department, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
