Ohio Man Sentenced on Firearms Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 47 year old Amsterdam, Ohio, resident was sentenced on April 20, 2011, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that WILLIAM P. BARSTOW was sentenced to 110 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. BARSTOW entered a plea of guilty on January 3, 2011, to one count of possession of stolen firearms on April 15, 2009, in Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia. BARSTOW was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
