Baltimore Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Counterfeit Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 34 year old Baltimore, Maryland, resident entered a plea of guilty on April 14, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that ANTHONY V. SOLOMON entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Information charging him with passing counterfeit $100 bills at the Morgantown Mall on December 12, 2010. SOLOMON, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police and the United States Secret Service.
