Two Sentenced and One Entered Guilty Plea in “Pill” Case
Fourth Defendant Made Initial Appearance on Motion
To Revoke Pretrial Release

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — Two defendants were sentenced and a third entered a plea of guilty in United States District Court in Wheeling on December 28 and 29, 2011, before Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

ROBYN JONES, age 24, of South Daytona, Florida, was sentenced to 70 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release; and KRISTIN ANDERSON, age 30, of Moundsville, West Virginia, was sentenced to 63 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release, for their role in a drug conspiracy.

JONES and ANDERSON each earlier entered pleas of guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute Schedule II controlled substances from February of 2010 to March 26, 2011. As part of the conspiracy, the defendants engaged in “doctor shopping” in Daytona Beach, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; West Palm Beach, Florida; and Rock Hill, South Carolina, by going to doctors in those cities and claiming medical maladies and then requesting and obtaining pain pills, primarily Oxycodone.

JONES admitted to being involved in the distribution of up to 150,000 Oxycodone pills.

ANDERSON admitted to being involved in the distribution of pills having a street value of approximately $425,000.

JONES and ANDERSON were remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a federal institution.

AMY JO EVERETT, age 31, of Moundsville, entered a plea of guilty to conspiracy to engage in interstate travel in aid of a racketeering enterprise. As part of her plea, EVERETT admitted to having been involved in the distribution of about 1,000 Oxycodone pills. EVERETT, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

MEGAN TERLOSKY, also of Moundsville, had an initial appearance on December 29, 2011, before Magistrate Judge James E. Seibert on a Motion to Revoke Pretrial Release after failing a drug test. TERLOSKY was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending a final hearing on the Motion to Revoke Pretrial Release scheduled for January 4, 2012, at 9:30 a.m.

The case was prosecuted by USA Ihlenfeld and Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, the Moundsville Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation Division, the Martins Ferry Police Department, the Volusia Bureau of Investigations - Central Florida HIDTA, and the Drug Enforcement Administration in Orlando, Florida. The Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force consists of the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
