Clarksburg Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Cocaine Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 50 year old Clarksburg resident entered a plea of guilty on July 12, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that VICTOR BARRETT entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with conspiring to distribute cocaine in Fairmont, West Virginia, and Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, between February 2007 and April 2007.
BARRETT, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
