Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Escape Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 24 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on May 20, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that ANTONIO COTTINGHAM was sentenced to eight months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. COTTINGHAM entered a plea of guilty on February 28, 2011, to one count of an Indictment charging him with escaping from custody on May 28, 2010, in Marion County.

COTTINGHAM is in federal custody.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the United States Marshal Service.
