Two Enter Guilty Pleas to Firearm and Drug Charges
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two individuals entered guilty pleas on April 29, 2011, and May 2, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
CRYSTAL CROSS, age 24, of Morgantown, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging her with purchasing a firearm for another individual on June 23, 2010. CROSS, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms.
RON GALLAGHER, age 28, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formerly of Morgantown, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Information charging him with possession with intent to distribute heroin on June 17, 2009, in Morgantown. GALLAGHER, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
